“Everyone says that Halloween is great because you get to put on a costume and either be someone else, or be your ‘real self’. I like those things, too, but I think most of these people have missed out on the candy.”

One of the many pleasures of Halloween at Blackthorne is being able to Trick or Treat all weekend. We recommend that if you’re staying at the Resort (and if you’re coming from out of town, you really should stay at the Resort!) – you can just hang a sign outside of your room if you’re up for Trick or Treating.
Meanwhile, in addition to our vendors being a marvelous assortment of creative makers, they also quite frequently love Halloween Candy themselves. Trick or treating is optional for our vendors (our vendors do love our patrons, but not all of them have a business which is set up for optimal candy distribution)–but you’ll find many who do!
(Many vendors will have signs if they’ve got candy. Some just have candy. Some don’t have candy, but are selling so many interesting things that it’s candy for the brain; actually, we look for that in pretty much all of our vendors.
If you haven’t done it before, trick-or-treating at a Halloween event is an exhilarating adventure that combines the charm of childhood nostalgia with the thrill of a festive treasure hunt. Imagine strolling through a vibrant bazaar, where each vendor’s booth is a portal to another realm, draped in cobwebs and flickering with the glow of jack-o’-lanterns.
Also, we hear that sugar may be involved. We like sugar.
