Movie Mike, in association with Big Red Penguin Prod, will be screening two feature films in Blackthorne’s main dining room. Your hosts will be Chelsea & Powell. These are movies on actual film that are wound on big metal reels, shown on a screen using a vintage movie projector!
Friday evening, the German expressionistic masterpiece, “The Cabinet Of Dr. Caligari” Starring Conrad Veidt (Major Heinrich Strasser in “Casablanca“) as the sleepwalking fiend stalking victims at the behest of mad hypnotist Dr. Caligari.
Saturday evening, billionaire industrialist Howard Hughes’ notorious “Son Of Sinbad” with horror star Vincent Price & burlesque queen Lili St. Cyr
Each screening will preceded by two cartoon shorts culled from the rich “… golden era of Hollywood cartoon animation“.
There will also be wacky, scary, “Back To School” PSAs from the 1960s & 70s screened throughout the day on Saturday, along with other goodies.
